County Tipperary

County Tipperary is Irelands largest inland county and is located in one of the lushest parts of the country: Largely a dairy farming area. 'Tipperary offers tranquil, unspoilt countryside and fresh clean waters, perfect for all activities holidays.

The Silvermines and the Devils Bit mountain provide spectacular drives and walks while the River Suir is noted for its brown trout. Along the shores of Lough Derg are little villages, including Terryglass, the overall National Tidy Towns winner for 1997.

The River Suir and Knockmealdown mountains present a vivid landscape and the Galtees in the South West corner of Tipperary offer excellent scenery, with the northen foothills overlooking the picturesque Glen of Aherlow.
